\nThe Yaoundé\; PhD Seminar&mdash\;Theories of Justice is an international summer school established in 2012 at the initiative of African and non-African PhD students with the aim of establishing a genuine and lasting North-South conversation\, understanding\, and solidarity in academic philosophy. \;
\nThe Yaoundé\; Seminar is a summer school in Ethics and Political Theory that takes place on the campus of the UCAC in Yaoundé\;\, Cameroon. It is an academic platform that celebrates diversity of thought and perspectives\, typically bringing together 30 participants\, including 16 PhD students\, 8 Post-Docs\, and 6 senior scholars/keynotes\, half African-based and half non-African-based. The summer school&rsquo\;s mission is to bridge the gap and promote dialogue between African philosophers and philosophers from Europe and North America\, encouraging PhD students from all over the world to participate in discussions and debates. This type of dialogue is a rare occurrence in academic philosophy\, and we believe it is a significant deficiency. We are convinced that philosophy thrives when it engages in conversations with other philosophical traditions and diverse perspectives on the world.
\nThe 8th edition of the summer school is dedicated to a profound exploration of Decolonization as a powerful approach to deconstructing categories of thought\, politics\, and society. This approach offers a critical perspective on the dominant intellectual\, political\, social\, and even spiritual models imposed on colonized countries. The seminar will delve into a variety of thought-provoking topics\, including the Concept and conceptions of decolonization\, Justice and decolonization of knowledge\, Law and decolonization\, Justice\, Duty of memory and reparation\, Symbolic forms\, institutions\, and colonial stigmata\, Justice and decolonization of humanitarian institutions\, Justice and decolonization of political institutions\, Justice and decolonization of academic institutions\, and Justice and decolonization of economic institutions.

Ce type de dialogue est un phé\;nomè\;ne rare en philosophie acadé\;mique\, et nous pensons qu&rsquo\;il s&rsquo\;agit d&rsquo\;une lacune importante. Nous sommes convaincus que la philosophie prospè\;re lorsqu'elle s'engage dans des conversations avec d'autres traditions philosophiques et des perspectives diverses sur le monde.
\nLa 8e é\;dition de l'é\;cole d'é\;té\; est consacré\;e à\; une exploration approfondie de la dé\;colonisation comme approche puissante pour dé\;construire les caté\;gories de pensé\;e\, de politique et de socié\;té\;. Cette approche offre une perspective critique sur les modè\;les intellectuels\, politiques\, sociaux et mê\;me spirituels dominants imposé\;s aux pays colonisé\;s. Le sé\;minaire abordera une varié\;té\; de sujets stimulants\, notamment le concept et les conceptions de la dé\;colonisation\, la justice et la dé\;colonisation du savoir\, le droit et la dé\;colonisation\, la justice\, le devoir de mé\;moire et de ré\;paration\, les formes symboliques\, les institutions et les stigmates coloniaux\, la justice et la dé\;colonisation des institutions humanitaires\, la justice et la dé\;colonisation des institutions politiques\, la justice et la dé\;colonisation des institutions universitaires et la justice et la dé\;colonisation des institutions é\;conomiques.
