DESCRIPTION:<p>The Department of Philosophy at New York University will host a workshop on the&nbsp\;16 &amp\; 17&nbsp\;May 2014. &nbsp\;The topic of the workshop is "Value and&nbsp\;Virtue in Ethics and Epistemology." &nbsp\;Confirmed participants include&nbsp\;Thomas Hurka (University of Toronto)\, Julia Driver (Washington University in St. Louis)\, Daniel Star (Boston University)\, Jessica Moss (NYU)\, Kurt Sylvan (Rutgers/Southampton)\, Barry Maguire (NYU)\, Paulina Sliwa (Cambridge)\, and Michael Smith (Princeton).</p>\n<p>Two presentation slots are available through this open call for papers. &nbsp\;Please submit an 750 word abstract by 1 March 2014. &nbsp\;Decisions will be communicated by 1 April 2014. &nbsp\;Only submissions directly related to the topic will be considered. &nbsp\;Submissions critically engaging with Thomas Hurka's work on the topic are strongly encouraged. &nbsp\;Please email submissions in .pdf (strongly preferred)\, .doc(x)\, or .rtf to&nbsp\;value.and.virtue@gmail.com. &nbsp\;Questions to be directed to the same address.</p>\n<p>Registration is free but required.
