DESCRIPTION:<p><strong>2nd Edition of Gender\, Diversity and Citizenship Colloquium</strong></p>\n<p><strong>7-8th May\, 2025 - University of &Eacute\;vora&nbsp\;</strong></p>\n<p>The second edition of the Colloquium &ldquo\;Gender\, Diversity and Citizenship&rdquo\; will take place on the 7th and 8th of May\, at the University of &Eacute\;vora. It is organised by the Philosophy and Gender Centre (of the Portuguese Society of Philosophy) and by Praxis - Centre of Philosophy\, Politics and Culture.</p>\n<p>This 2nd edition will give continuity to the Colloquium organised in 2007\, with the same title\, which resulted in a homonymous publication (coord. Fernanda Henriques)\, in 2008. As&nbsp\; then\, we want explore how gender manifests in various areas of public life: public space\, migrations\, ecology\, new technologies\, diversity. In this 2nd edition\, we want also to assess the advances made in matters of diversity and gender equality in this time - almost two decades.</p>\n<p>Women&rsquo\;s experiences and knowledge in these matters are still ignored and silenced\; this initiative hopes to cultivate a space in academia and in the public sphere to\, with our voices\, keep the discussion alive about gender\, diversity and citizenship\, in the active participation for a more just society.</p>\n<p>We invite the submission of proposals in two formats:</p>\n\n<p>i) <strong>Panel submissions</strong> - communication of academic presentations and participation in a discussion panel.</p>\n\n<p>The proposals for this format must include an abstract with up to 300 words<strong>\, </strong>name\, academic affiliation\, contact email\; and identify in which<strong> </strong>theme it is included (from the five listed below).&nbsp\;</p>\n\n<p>ii) <strong>Workshops:</strong> practical and creative activities\, aimed at products with social impact.&nbsp\;</p>\n\n<p>The proposals for this format must include a description of the activity and expected result\, up to 500 words\, name\, academic affiliation\, contact email\; and identify in which theme it is included (from the five listed below).
