This conference aims to shed new light on the debate over scientific realism by measuring the currently popular thesis of structural realism against the historical record. Participants will present papers consisting of two parts:
PART 1: An argument for why the philosophical thesis of structural realism would lead us to expect to see a certain \;phenomenon (participant&rsquo\;s choice) reflected in the historical record\;

PART 2: A case study (participant&rsquo\;s choice) which illustrates either the fulfillment or the violation of those \;expectations.
500-word abstracts may be submitted \;structuralrealism@gmail.com \;before March 1. Abstracts should outline  \;PARTS 1 &\; 2 as described above.  \;
