DESCRIPTION:<p>In the summer of 2025\, the Practical Philosophy Research Group of the Centre of Philosophy of the University of Lisbon (Praxis-CFUL) will launch the annual&nbsp\;<strong><em>Lisbon Praxis Summer School (LPSS)</em></strong>. Each summer school will focus on a topic of current and ongoing relevance for practical philosophy\, broadly construed.</p>\n<p>Spanning one week\, the&nbsp\;<strong><em>Lisbon Praxis Summer School (LPSS)</em></strong>&nbsp\;will bring together young researchers\, graduate students\, and senior scholars to discuss new perspectives and foundational texts related to the selected topics. The themes will be addressed in keynote lectures\, workshops\, and text-based advanced seminars. A public round-table discussion featuring the keynote speakers from the Summer School will consolidate the themes explored during the week-long interaction.</p>\n<p>The theme of the inaugural&nbsp\;<em>Lisbon Praxis Summer School</em>&nbsp\;is &ldquo\;<strong>Global Critical Theory</strong><strong><em>.</em>&rdquo\;</strong>&nbsp\;For the next editions\, the planned topics are &ldquo\;Methods of Critique&rdquo\; (2026) and &ldquo\;Critique and Standpoint&rdquo\; (2027).</p>\n\n<p><strong>Organizing committee:</strong></p>\n<p>Tamara Caraus\, Moirika Reker\, Mariana Teixeira and Ricardo Mendoza-Canales (Praxis-CFUL)</p>
