DESCRIPTION:<p>The "Rethinking ToM and ASD" student conference aims to bring together students and researchers in philosophy of mind\, cognitive science\, linguistics\, social cognition\, developmental psychology\, in order to advance our understanding of the role that theory of mind (ToM) plays in explaining social interaction difficulties in autism (if any). Our goal is to explore new approaches to ToM and analyze the ways in which these might bear on the theoretical and methodological paradigms for autism.</p>\n<p>The conference is part of "The effects of LLM interaction in digital and virtual environments on TOM" ICUB grant in enhancing institutional performance at the University of Bucharest\, gathering a research team from Philosophy\, Linguistics\, Cognitive Psychology and Evolutionary Biology.</p>\n<p>The conference is organized with the support of undergraduate students in the Bachelor&rsquo\;s programme in cognitive science within the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Science at the University of Bucharest and with the support of graduate students in the doctoral school of theoretical philosophy within the Department for Theoretical Philosophy at the University of Bucharest.</p>\n<p>The conference will take place&nbsp\;on 22-23 March 2025\, between 9 AM- 9 PM\, local time for Bucharest\, Romania.
