DESCRIPTION:<p><strong>Revista Controv&eacute\;rsia - ISSN 1808-5253 - Call for Submissions</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Cognition and Embodiment</strong><br><em>Giovanni Rolla\, Federal University of Bahia - Guest Editor</em><br><em>In&aacute\;cio Helfer\, University of Vale do Rio dos Sinos - Editor-in-Chief</em></p>\n<p>Revista Controv&eacute\;rsia is pleased to invite submissions for the special issue celebrating its 20th anniversary\, titled&nbsp\;<strong>Cognition and Embodiment</strong>.</p>\n<p>Articles should explore approaches within the philosophy of cognitive sciences that address the issue of embodiment\, including (but not limited to):</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Autonomist enactivism</li>\n<li>Radical enactivism</li>\n<li>Ecological psychology</li>\n<li>Situated cognition</li>\n<li>Extended mind</li>\n<li>Neurophenomenology</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Some topics covered under this call include:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conceptual relationships between different research programs in embodied cognition</li>\n<li>Continuity between life and mind</li>\n<li>Phylogenetic and ontogenetic relationships between basic and higher cognitive faculties</li>\n<li>Ontological and epistemological assumptions of embodiment (such as anti-reductionism and emergentism)</li>\n<li>Historical influences on contemporary perspectives of embodied cognition</li>\n<li>Philosophical critiques of artificial intelligence from the standpoint of embodiment</li>\n<li>New challenges and future developments in embodied cognition research</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Contributions that engage with relevant empirical sciences (such as linguistics\, cognitive psychology\, artificial intelligence\, neuroscience\, evolutionary biology\, among others) from a philosophical perspective are encouraged.</p>\n<p>The journal accepts articles in Portuguese\, Spanish\, and English. Undergraduate students may submit articles as long as they are co-authored with PhD researchers. Master's and PhD students may submit independently.</p>\n<p><strong>Submission deadline:</strong>&nbsp\;July 28\, 2025<br><strong>Publication date:</strong>&nbsp\;December 2025</p>\n<p>Author guidelines can be found on the&nbsp\;<em>Revista Controv&eacute\;rsia</em>&nbsp\;website.</p>
