DESCRIPTION:
21st Annual Conference of the Italian Association for Cognitive Sciences&nbsp\;(AISC)&nbsp\;
\n
September 17-19\, 2025 -- Lucca\, Italy
\n&nbsp\;\n
Connected Minds: Dynamic Interactions in Cognitive\, Social\, and Artificial Systems
\n
The 21st Conference of the Italian Association of Cognitive Sciences (AISC) will focus on the role of dynamic interactions in explaining the functioning of complex systems such as brains\, communities\, networks\, and artificial agents. The theoretical and experimental study of dynamic interactions is increasingly illuminating how brains work\, how communities behave\, and how artificial systems process information. We welcome presentations on the state-of-the-art and ongoing research regarding the multifaceted nature of dynamic interactions in cognitive\, social\, and artificial systems. We particularly encourage submissions that foster interdisciplinary dialogue among the various subdisciplines of cognitive science\, encompassing both theoretical and experimental perspectives.
\n

\n
Conference website:&nbsp\;https://aisc2025.imtlucca.it
\n
\n
Confirmed keynote speakers:
\n
- Claudia Mazzuca (Universit&agrave\; degli Studi &ldquo\;La Sapienza&rdquo\;\, Roma)\, winner of the AISC Young Researcher Prize 2024
\n
- Hugo Mercier (CNRS\, Institut Jean Nicod\, Paris)
\n
- Luiz Pessoa (University of Maryland)
\n
\n
Venue:&nbsp\;The conference will take place at the IMT School for Advanced Studies Lucca\, Piazza San Francesco 19\, Lucca\, Italy.
\n
\n
Important Dates
\n
Submission deadline:&nbsp\;May 18\, 2025
\n
Notification of acceptance: June 15\, 2025
\n
Registration deadline: 31 July 2025&nbsp\;
\n
Conference date: September 17-19\, 2025
\n
\n
Topics of interest
\n
&nbsp\;See the conference website (https://aisc2025.imtlucca.it) for the complete list of&nbsp\;topics of interest.
\n
\n
Call for papers\, posters\, and symposia
\n
We cordially invite researchers to submit papers\, poster\, or symposia proposals through:&nbsp\;https://forms.gle/uufxvsxR777g65Ct8.
\n
Paper and poster submissions require a short abstract of no more than 100 words (to be directly added to the submission page) and a long one of no more than 500 words (bibliography excluded\, to be uploaded as a PDF file).&nbsp\;Paper and poster submissions should be fully anonymized.&nbsp\;
\n
Symposia submissions require a short description of no more than 100 words (to be directly added to the submission page) and a detailed one of no more than 2000 words (bibliography excluded\, to be uploaded as a PDF file) that should include&nbsp\;a description of the proposed symposium\, individual papers (3 to 5 abstracts)\,&nbsp\;and a list of the participants and their affiliations.&nbsp\;All submissions should be in English.
\n\n
\n
Grants and Prizes&nbsp\;
\n
AISC Student Travel Grants:&nbsp\;Three Student Travel Grants (up to 250 euros each\, plus the 2025 AISC membership fee) are available to support the attendance of AISC student members at the conference.
