DESCRIPTION:
As part of the Experimental Philosophical Aesthetics and Human Nature project (Marie Curie Action Grant PIIF-GA-2012-328977)\, the University of Leeds is hosting a series of workshops that brings together philosophers and empirical researchers to discuss topics of common interest. For each workshop\, we reserved a 30-minute presentation slot for an early career philosopher&mdash\;that is\, someone who received his or her PhD within the last three years or who is not employed in a tenure-track or permanent position.
\n
We invite submission of abstracts of 500-750 words from early career philosophers for presenting at upcoming workshops. The research described in the abstract must engage with the relevant workshop&rsquo\;s topic\, but need not be experimental. The deadline is one month before each workshop.
\n
Please send an abstract suitable for blind review as an attachment to&nbsp\;xphiaesthetics@gmail.com. Please include in the text of the email: your name\, contact information\, current affiliation\, and the workshop topic.&nbsp\;
\n
Topics of upcoming workshops can be found at&nbsp\;http://xphiaesthetics.wordpress.com/workshops/&nbsp\;.
\n
Researchers whose abstracts are selected for presentation will receive reimbursement for their lodging and within-UK travel expenses. Underrepresented minorities are especially encouraged to apply. Presentations will be selected on the basis of philosophical quality and relevance to the project&rsquo\;s aims.
\n
For more detail\, please visit&nbsp\;http://xphiaesthetics.wordpress.com/workshops/call-for-abstracts/ .
