DESCRIPTION:<p>The philosophy graduate students of The University of Massachusetts Amherst are accepting submissions for The University of Massachusetts Amherst Philosophy Graduate Conference in Fall 2025. The conference is general topic and open to all current philosophy graduate students as well as those who are currently applying to PhD programs in philosophy. Limited\, need-based funding may be available upon request.</p>\n<p>The conference will take place\, in person\, at The University of Massachusetts Amherst on Friday\, November 7th and Saturday\, November 8th. The keynote presentation will be given by Kevin Richardson of Duke University on the first day of the conference. There will be a dinner following the keynote\, and a reception on the closing evening. The building and all conference spaces are accessible via stairs\, ramps\, or elevators.</p>\n<p>Those interested in submitting papers should email their submissions to umassphilgradcon@gmail.com. Submitted papers should be:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>No more than 4\,000 words\, excluding footnotes and bibliography.</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Appropriate for a 30-minute presentation.</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Fully anonymized.</p>\n</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Submissions should also include a cover page\, as a separate file\, which should consist of:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>The title of your paper.</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Your name\, contact information\, and institutional affiliation (if applicable).</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>An abstract of no more than 300 words.</p>\n</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Presentations should follow the following approximate format:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>30 minutes for the presentation of your paper.</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>5&ndash\;10 minutes for your commentator.</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>5&ndash\;10 minutes for your response to those comments.</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>10&ndash\;15 minutes for audience Q&amp\;A.&nbsp\;</p>\n</li>\n</ul>\n<p>The deadline for submissions is 11:59pm EST on Friday\, August 22nd.
