DESCRIPTION:<p><strong>[Call for Abstracts]</strong><br><br><br><strong>4th International Conference on Ethics of Artificial Intelligence (4ICEAI)</strong><br><br>Faculty of Arts and Humanities\, University of Porto\, Porto\, Portugal<br><br><strong>24-30 July 2025&nbsp\;</strong>(24-25 July\, Online | 28-30 July\, in-person)<br><br><strong>About</strong>: The 4th International Conference on Ethics of Artificial Intelligence (4ICEAI) aims to bring together researchers\, academics\, and professionals to explore the ethical dimensions of AI. Hosted by the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the University of Porto\, this hybrid event will include online sessions on July 24-25\, 2025\, and in-person sessions on July 28-30\, 2025. The conference will focus on the philosophical\, social\, and ethical challenges posed by artificial intelligence\, fostering interdisciplinary dialogue among scholars from philosophy\, law\, sociology and AI research. With a growing impact of AI on society\, 4ICEAI seeks to address pressing concerns related to responsibility\, transparency\, and the future of human-AI interaction.<br><br><strong>ETHICS OF AI AWARD 2025</strong>&nbsp\;(in-person talks only): The best-submitted abstract will receive the opportunity to deliver a special Award Talk similar to a keynote talk (note: the selected author will have the fee waived).<br><br>The final deadline to submit proposals in different research topics is&nbsp\;<strong>June 25\, 2025.</strong><br>&nbsp\;<br><br><strong><u>KEYNOTES SPEAKERS:</u></strong><br><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>John P. Hawthorne</strong>&nbsp\;is Provost Professor of Philosophy and Linda MacDonald Hilf Professor of Philosophy at the University of Southern California. He was previously Waynflete Professor of Philosophy at the University of Oxford.</li>\n<li><strong>Julia Maria M&ouml\;nig&nbsp\;</strong>is a Research and the Project Manager of the subproject of the AI NRW flagship project &ldquo\;Certified AI&rdquo\; at the Center for Science and Thought\, University of Bonn\, Germany.</li>\n<li><strong>Pietro Perconti</strong>&nbsp\;is Professor of Philosophy of Mind at the University of Messina\, Italy\, and co-founded the International Center for Consciousness Studies (ICCS).</li>\n<li><strong>Em&iacute\;lia Duarte</strong>&nbsp\;holds a PhD in Human Kinetics with a specialization in Ergonomics from the Technical University of Lisbon. She is currently a Full Professor of Design at IADE &ndash\; European University\, Portugal.</li>\n<li><strong>Jesmin Jahan Tithi</strong>&nbsp\;is an AI Research Scientist at Intel\, USA\, having a Ph.D. from Stony Brook University\, New York. She is the founding member of the Z-inspection&reg\;.</li>\n<li><strong>Christina H. Dietz</strong>&nbsp\;is an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at The University of Southern California. She was previously a Research Fellow at the Dianoia Institute of Philosophy at Australian Catholic University.</li>\n<li><strong>Gabriel Ferreira&nbsp\;</strong>is Professor at the University of the Sinos River Valley\, Brazil.
