DESCRIPTION:
The ECPR Political Theory Standing Group is seeking abstract submissions for its 2025-2026 online seminar.&nbsp\;
\n
The ECPR Political Theory Online Seminar occurs one Wednesday per month during the academic term from 17:00 to 18:00 CET. We typically feature six papers in total (with a seventh session reserved for a book talk by the winner and runner-up of the ECPR Political Theory Prize). We welcome work in progress (i.e.\, unpublished\, though under review is permissible) from political theorists of all kinds\, levels\, and locations. Submissions are reviewed by the steering committee of the Standing Group on Political Theory\, which considers various factors in curating the annual program\, including balance of topics\, methods\, and perspectives represented.
\n
Accepted authors are offered some choice over possible Wednesdays. If you plan to submit\, please ensure you will generally be available Wednesdays at 17:00 in 2025-2026.
\n
Papers must be available for pre-circulation one week before the scheduled presentation. The presentation lasts no more than 25 minutes\, followed by discussion. Slight changes to titles and abstracts of work accepted for presentation are permitted\; however\, the work presented should remain consistent with the original submission.
\n
Abstracts may be submitted for consideration until 15 August 2025 at https://app.oxfordabstracts.com/stages/79067/submitter.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;
\n
Please contact Antoinette Scherz (antoinette.scherz@philosophy.su.se) or Ted Lechterman (tlechterman@faculty.ie.edu) with any questions.
\n
Kind regards\,
\n
The ECPR Political Theory Steering Committee
\n
Andrei Poama (Leiden University)\, Ted Lechterman (IE University)\, Antoinette Scherz (Stockholm University)\, and Jonathan Seglow (Royal Holloway\, University of London)
