DESCRIPTION:<p>We invite submissions of abstracts from young researchers&nbsp\;(PhD and Postdoctoral level) interested in engaging in interdisciplinary discussions on the epistemology of science from a philosophical\, historical and scientific perspective. Preference will be given to submissions on topics in the following list:&nbsp\;</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Causality</li>\n<li>Scientific change vs. progress</li>\n<li>Knowledge</li>\n<li>Models and idealizations</li>\n<li>Epistemic and non-epistemic values/Pure vs. applied sciences</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Submissions should include:</p>\n<ol>\n<li>a separate title page with author&rsquo\;s details: name\, affiliation\, areas of expertise and level of study (PhD or Postdoc\, including year in which PhD title was obtained)</li>\n<li>an abstract (max 500 words)</li>\n<li>a separate list of references</li>\n</ol>\n<p>Submissions should be sent to: fiora.salis@york.ac.uk</p>\n<p>The best presentations will be selected as contributions to the workshop proceedings.&nbsp\;</p>
