DESCRIPTION:<p>Prof. Philip Kitcher (Columbia University) will deliver the first&nbsp\;edition of the Lullius Lectures on Logic\, Methodology and Philosophy&nbsp\;of Science. The Lectures will take place at the University of Santiago&nbsp\;de Compostela (Spain)\, in July\, 18th\, 19th and 20th 2012\, during the&nbsp\;VII General Conference of the SLMFCE. On occasion of the Lectures\, the&nbsp\;SLMFCE will organize a Symposium devoted to the philosophy of Philip&nbsp\;Kitcher. Contributions on any aspect of Kitcher&rsquo\;s philosophy are&nbsp\;welcome. The selected papers will be accorded a thirty minutes&nbsp\;presentation during the conference. A selection of the papers will be&nbsp\;published in the Spanish journal Theoria together with Kitcher&rsquo\;s&nbsp\;Lullius Lectures.<br><br>THEORIA. An International Journal for Theory\, History and Foundations&nbsp\;of Science is published by the University of the Basque Country under&nbsp\;a Creative Commons Licence. The journal was created in 1952 by Miguel&nbsp\;S&aacute\;nchez-Mazas\, THEORIA is one of the leading philosophy journals in&nbsp\;the Spanish-speaking world and a well-ranked publication in the Europe&nbsp\;Science Foundation index (ERIH: INT2). The authors should send the whole&nbsp\;paper (about 6000 words) or an extended abstract (not less than 3000&nbsp\;words). The received proposals will be evaluated and the final&nbsp\;decision will be communicated to the authors by June 1st\, 2012</p>
