DESCRIPTION:<p>NordPhil 2025</p>\n<p>Riga\, Latvia</p>\n<p>September 4-5\, 2025</p>\n<p><strong><br></strong></p>\n<p>Call for abstracts</p>\n<p>The ninth installation of the NordPhil philosophy conference will be held in Riga\, Latvia\, taken up by the Latvian philosophy journal Tvērums in collaboration with the University of Latvia. The organizing team invites applicants to submit an extended abstract on any area of philosophy to be presented in Riga on September 4-5\, 2025.</p>\n<p>NordPhil is a philosophy conference series for students affiliated with Nordic universities. It has been previously held at the University of Oslo\, Uppsala University\, Lund University\, University of Copenhagen\, Stockholm University\, Tampere University\, and University of Tartu.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>NordPhil provides a platform for aspiring philosophers who wish to develop their professional skills and test their ideas in an encouraging critical environment. More broadly\, the conference intends to foster a greater exchange of ideas between Nordic philosophers with the long-term goal of promoting the international standing of Nordic philosophy.</p>\n<p><strong><br></strong></p>\n<p>Submission guidelines</p>\n<p>Applicants should submit extended abstracts written in English of a maximum of 1500 words (excluding biography) on any area of philosophy. Chosen applicants will be invited to present at the University of Latvia.</p>\n<p>Applicants must be affiliated with a Nordic university. PhD student submissions will be accepted but students of bachelor and master level are given priority.</p>\n<p>Abstracts should be prepared for blind review\, i.e.\, contain no information disclosing the identity or affiliation of the applicant. A separate cover sheet should be included in the application\, stating paper title\, name of applicant\, affiliation\, level of study and contact details.</p>\n<p><strong><br></strong></p>\n<p>To apply</p>\n<p>Send your extended abstract and cover sheet (in PDF format) to zurnals.tverums@gmail.com</a>.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Submission deadline: July 10th\, 2025.</p>\n<p>All applicants will be informed of the decision before August 1st.
