DESCRIPTION:
Call for Papers: &ldquo\;Ethical Futures for People and Planet&rdquo\;
\n
Special Issue of&nbsp\;Research in Ethical Issues in Organisations (Emerald)
\n
Now more than ever\, we need creative\, principled visions for the future. This issue seeks to bring together diverse scholarly voices exploring how ethics can inform and guide our collective response to the challenges of our time.
\n
As many of you are aware\, the AAPAE partnered with the Australian Earth Laws Alliance (AELA) this year to explore the future of ethics in a time of profound environmental\, social\, and economic disruption. I&rsquo\;d like to thank all presenters for their thought-provoking contributions. We thoroughly enjoyed the depth\, breadth\, and enthusiasm in exploring the key themes of the conference.
\n
Following the conference\, we invite submissions of papers between 5\,000 and 10\,000 words expanding on the theme of the conference: ethical futures for people and planet.&nbsp\;
\n
Research in Ethical Issues in Organizations&nbsp\;encourages a cross disciplinary approach and aims to draw on a wide range of fields. We encourage authors to submit rigorous research studies (essayistic or empirical) from a wide variety of academic perspectives including (but not limited to) philosophy\, the social science\, politics\, psychology\, religion\, business management\, marketing\, and accounting.
\n
Focus of the Special Issue and Suggested Topics
\n
We encourage contributions that address (but are not limited to) the following themes:
\n
\n
First Nations ethics\, governance and decision-making: decolonised futures and representation
\n
Ethical obligations to the non-human world: eco-centric governance\, rights of nature\, earth laws\, bioregionalism\, and human&ndash\;nature relationships
\n
Technologies of the future for environments of the future: ethical challenges and promises
\n
Caring for others while caring for the planet: the ethical complexity and unintended harms of altruism
\n
Whose job is it anyway?&nbsp\;Markets\, grassroots movements\, regulation and law: the role of the private sector\, community\, and government in building ethical futures
\n
Everyday ethics: changes to ethics and values to ensure and adapt to a safe\, integrated\, and liveable future
\n
General issues in applied and professional ethics
\n
\n
Deadlines and Submission Process
\n
Full papers should be submitted to l.bossi@griffith.edu.au by 29th&nbsp\;of August 2025.&nbsp\;All papers will undergo REIO&rsquo\;s double blind review process.
\n
Contact:&nbsp\;
\n
Larelle Bossi: l.bossi@griffith.edu.au
\n
Research in Ethical Issues in Organizations (Emerald):&nbsp\;
\n
https://www.emerald.com/insight/publication/issn/1529-2096
