DESCRIPTION:<p>The Moscow Center for Consciousness Studies (MCCS) is hosting a summer school from the 11th to the 25th of August 2014 devoted to the problem of free. The summer school will led by the well-known expert Prof. John Martin Fischer of the University of California\, Riverside.</p>\n<p>Graduate students and recent PhDs are invited to submit applications to participate in this summer school. For two weeks\, you will be hosted by MCCS in a beautiful area on the Volga River near Moscow.</p>\n<p>The summer school will include lectures and discussions led by Prof. Fischer and Associate Prof. Matthew Talbert (West Virginia University).</p>\n<p>MCCS will provide accommodation\, food\, and transfers. We also will compensate 50% of your round trip ticket to Moscow. We will provide two applicants with full scholarships (room and board\, travel transfers\, and full travel expenses to and from Moscow). <em></em></p>\n<p><strong>To apply for admission to the summer school\, please submit a ten-page writing sample (2\,500 to 3\,000 words) that demonstrates your knowledge of current work on free will and your own ideas about this topic. Please also submit two letters of recommendation from philosophers working in this area (your supervisor or other qualified people who know your work)\, and a Curriculum Vitae.</strong></p>\n<p><strong>The deadline for submitting applications is May 1st\, 2014.</strong> Please send your application materials to Artem Besedin at <a href="mailto:A.Besedin@hardproblem.ru">A.Besedin@hardproblem.ru</a> .
