UID:20260404T182503Z-iCalPlugin-Grails@philevents-web-f5d4878dd-4s97k

LOCATION:Lehmkuhlenbusch 4\, Delmenhorst\, Germany
DESCRIPTION:
Aside from an interest in linguistic practice\, Wittgenstein also (primarily in On Certainty) shows an interest in our epistemic practice. His idea that our practice of doubting requires us to rely on &ldquo\;hinges&rdquo\; has gained significant prominence in recent discussions\, but many of his other observations on skepticism and the idea of ignorance also allow for a range of interesting applications. Based on a close and attentive reading of Wittgenstein&rsquo\;s works\, this workshop aims to make progress on understanding our epistemic practice and the issues surrounding it.
\n
We welcome interested scholars and students who would like to register for this event. Registration should take place via e-mail to lossau1@uni-bremen.de by January 9th\, 2026. A registration fee of 30&euro\; will need to be paid at the event\, which will be used to pay for catering during the workshop.
