DESCRIPTION:<p>The Society for Philosophy of Religion is pleased to invite submissions for the 2026 meeting of the&nbsp\;<u>Society for the Philosophy of Religion</u>&nbsp\;to be held in San Antonio\, Texas\, from&nbsp\;<strong>March 26&ndash\;28\, 2026</strong>\, at the historic Menger Hotel.</p>\n<p>The deadline for submissions is&nbsp\;<strong>October 1\, 2025</strong>.</p>\n<p>We are especially delighted to announce that&nbsp\;<u>Dean Zimmerman</u>&nbsp\;(Rutgers University) will deliver the keynote address. In addition\,&nbsp\;<u>Imran Aijaz</u>&nbsp\;(University of Michigan&ndash\;Dearborn) will present on a special panel titled&nbsp\;<em>&ldquo\;The Place of Philosophy in Islamic Faith: Prospects and Problems.&rdquo\;</em></p>\n<p><strong>Submission Guidelines</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Papers should be no more than&nbsp\;<strong>5\,000 words</strong>&nbsp\;and prepared for blind review.</li>\n<li>Please submit your paper by email to&nbsp\;<u>ted.poston@ua.edu</u>.</li>\n<li>Accepted papers should be presented substantially as submitted.</li>\n<li>If you wish to propose a&nbsp\;<strong>panel discussion</strong>\, please send a proposal outlining the topic and including the names and affiliations of confirmed participants.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>We welcome papers in philosophy of religion from a plurality of perspectives and traditions.</p>\n<p>New prospective members are encouraged to apply.</p>\n<p><strong>A</strong><strong>dditional Opportunities</strong></p>\n<p>If you are interested in serving as a&nbsp\;<strong>commentator</strong>&nbsp\;or&nbsp\;<strong>session chair</strong>\, please email me to express your willingness.</p>\n<p><strong>Rising Scholar Award</strong></p>\n<p>The Society for Philosophy of Religion is pleased to offer the&nbsp\;<em>Rising Scholar Award</em>\, which will be presented to the best essay authored by a philosopher who earned their Ph.D. within the past&nbsp\;<strong>five years</strong>. The Society reserves the right not to grant the award if no submission meets the criteria for quality and suitability.</p>
