DESCRIPTION:<p><strong>Call for Abstracts:</strong><strong></strong></p>\n<p>The journal <em>Midwest Studies in Philosophy</em> is putting together a special volume on Political Epistemology.</p>\n<p>The issue will feature invited contributions from scholars such as Alex Guerrero (Rutgers)\, Sally Haslanger (MIT)\, Michael Hannon (Nottingham)\, Dan Williams (Sussex)\, Elise Woodard (KCL)\, and Alex Worsnip (UNC Chapel Hill).</p>\n<p>In addition\, there are about 6&ndash\;8 open slots for submissions chosen via an open call for abstracts.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Potential topics include:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Misinformation\, propaganda\, and the epistemology of media</li>\n<li>Expertise and epistemic authority in politics</li>\n<li>The epistemic merits and challenges of democracy</li>\n<li>The epistemology of political belief and disagreement</li>\n<li>Voter ignorance and irrationality</li>\n<li>Testimony\, trust\, and deference in political discourse</li>\n<li>Social epistemology and the design of political institutions</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Please send an anonymized abstract (750&ndash\;1000 words) to <a href="mailto:political.epistemology.network@gmail.com">political.epistemology.network@gmail.com</a> by <strong>October 31\, 2025</strong>.</p>\n<p>Decisions will go out by <strong>December 30\, 2025.</strong>&nbsp\;Full papers (max 10\,000 words) will be due by May 1\, 2027.</p>
