DESCRIPTION:<p><strong>Quer&eacute\;taro celebrates the First Symposium on Philosophy of the Arrabal in honour of Juan Carlos Moreno Romo</strong></p>\n<p>On <strong>4 and 5 September 2025</strong>\, the Autonomous University of Quer&eacute\;taro (UAQ) will host the First Symposium on Philosophy of the Suburbs\, an international meeting that will pay tribute to the philosopher <strong>Juan Carlos Moreno Romo</strong>\, creator of this unique school of thought.</p>\n<p>Organised by the <strong>Faculty of Fine Arts</strong> and the <strong>National Association of Philosophical and Historical Studies</strong> (ANEFH\, A.C.)\, the symposium will bring together researchers from Mexico\, Italy and Colombia\, as well as academics from various national institutions\, both in person and virtually. The programme was prepared by Dr. Juan Granados Vald&eacute\;s and Mtro. Rams&eacute\;s Oviedo P&eacute\;rez.</p>\n<p>The philosophy of the slums proposes reflection from the cultural and social peripheries\, in contrast to the great centres of academic power. The meeting will include <strong>keynote lectures\, working groups and discussions\, addressing</strong> topics ranging from literature and theology to politics and urban life.</p>\n<p>The closing session will be led by <strong>Juan Carlos Moreno Romo</strong> himself\, with the lecture "Why should Hispanic philosophy radically assume its status as the philosophy of the suburbs?</p>\n<p>The event invites not only philosophers\, but also students and the general public interested in exploring new ways of thinking from the periphery.</p>\n<p>To view the <strong>programme</strong>\, copy and open the URL below:</p>\n<p>https://t.ly/i88CF</p>
