El Departamento de Filosofí\;a y el Centro de Estudios Cognitivos de la Facultad de Filosofí\;a y Humanidades\, Universidad de Chile\, tienen el agrado de invitar al segundo workshop Distrust of Institutions\, que tendrá\; lugar en Santiago de Chile los dí\;as 7 y 8 de enero de 2026\, y que es parte del proyecto ANID FONDECYT 1230128: Desconfianza en las instituciones: Un factor causal de las crisis institucionales searleanas.
\nEste evento\, en Inglé\;s y Españ\;ol\, constituye una gran oportunidad para el intercambio de ideas y la reflexió\;n sobre las diversas ramas de la filosofí\;a y la epistemologí\;a social dedicadas al problema de la confianza y la desconfianza. Para estos efectos tomaremos como marco de referencia la filosofí\;a y otras disciplinas afines de las ciencias sociales.
\nParticipará\;n como keynote speakers los Profesores Mark Satta (Wayne State University) y Carolyn McLeod (Western University Canada)\, ambos especialistas en los problemas asociados a la confianza y desconfianza\, tanto interpersonal como en las instituciones. Las ponencias de los Profs. Satta y McLeod será\;n hí\;bridas.
\nPara participar\, ademá\;s de los datos del o la autora\, y su filiació\;n acadé\;mica e email\, se requiere del enví\;o de un resumen en inglé\;s o españ\;ol de 500 palabras (sin incluir bibliografí\;a)\, con cinco palabras clave\, antes del 1 de noviembre de 2025 al correo de contacto. \nThis academic event\, which will be held both in English and Spanish\, constitutes an exceptional opportunity for the exchange of ideas and reflection on the various branches of philosophy and social epistemology devoted to trust and distrust\, as well as to their impact on human civilization. To address this goal we will take Searle&rsquo\;s philosophy of society as well as different relevant disciplines of social sciences.
\nProfessors Mark Satta (Wayne State University) and Carolyn McLeod (Western University Canada)\, both specialists in issues associated with trust and distrust\, be them interpersonal or in institutions\, will participate as keynote speakers\, and their talks will be hybrid.
