DESCRIPTION:<p>We are pleased to announce the workshop &ldquo\;Idols\, Methods and the Organisation of Knowledge: A Workshop on the&nbsp\;<em>De augmentis scientiarum</em>\,&rdquo\; which will take place on&nbsp\;6&ndash\;7 November 2025&nbsp\;at the&nbsp\;Maison Fran&ccedil\;aise d&rsquo\;Oxford.</p>\n<p>This two-day event will bring together leading scholars to explore Francis Bacon&rsquo\;s&nbsp\;<em>De augmentis scientiarum</em>&nbsp\;and its broader intellectual\, methodological\, and cultural contexts.</p>\n<p>The workshop is organised by Dana Jalobeanu (UTN\, Nuremberg/University of Bucharest)\, Daniel Garber (Princeton)\, Mogens L&aelig\;rke&nbsp\;(CNRS-IHRIM/MFO\, Lyon/Oxford)\, and Alan Stewart (Columbia).</p>
