DESCRIPTION:<p>The 12th Annual Meeting of the Ancient Philosophy Society is taking&nbsp\;place this year at the University of San Francisco and includes four&nbsp\;days of scholarly presentations. The conference includes a wonderful&nbsp\;program of blindly refereed paper presentations. We will also have two<br>keynote presentations. The first\, by Anastasia-Erasmia Peponi\,&nbsp\;Professor of Classics at Stanford University\, is entitled &ldquo\;Dance\,&nbsp\;Aesthetics and the Polis&rdquo\; and will take place on Friday\, April 20th at&nbsp\;6pm in the Del Santo Reading Room. The following day\, also at 6pm\,&nbsp\;Christof Rapp\, the Chair for Ancient Philosophy and Rhetoric at&nbsp\;Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich will be giving a talk entitled&nbsp\;&ldquo\;Aristotle on Modulating the Feelings of a Public Audience&rdquo\; in LM 100.&nbsp\;In addition\, we will have a panel on Heidegger's Reading of&nbsp\;Aristotle's "Rhetoric" on Saturday afternoon.</p>\n<p>Locations:&nbsp\;April 19: McLaren 252\; April 20-21: LM 100\; April 22: Berman Hall\, Fromm</p>\n<p>This conference is open to the public and has been made possible by&nbsp\;the generous support of the Mortimer Fleishacker Fund for Philosophy&nbsp\;at the University of San Francisco.</p>\n<p>The Ancient Philosophy Society was established to provide a forum for&nbsp\;diverse scholarship on ancient Greek and Roman texts.
