DESCRIPTION:<p>The University of Aberdeen Philosophy Postgraduate Conference invites submission of abstracts for its inaugural meeting in February 2026. The topic will be on imagination\, fiction\, and extended reality.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>The two-day conference will take place at the University of Aberdeen\, Sir Duncan Library\, from February 10-11\, 2026\, featuring 8 talks\, each divided into a 30-minute presentation and 15 minutes of Q&amp\;A\, followed by a keynote speaker at the end of each day.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Keynote Speakers:&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>- Stacie Friend (University of Edinburgh)&nbsp\;&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>- Neil McDonell (University of Glasgow)&nbsp\;&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Submission Specifications&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>We are inviting current postgraduate students to submit works for presentation. Submissions are welcome from all areas of philosophy\, with priority given to topics related to imagination\, fiction\, and extended reality\, broadly construed. Submissions from related topics\, including but not limited to perception\, representation\, modality\, fictional existence\, consciousness\, technology\, ethics of XR\, are alsohighly encouraged.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Anonymised abstracts(up to 500 words) suitable for a 30-minutes presentation are to be submitted via email to uoaphilgradconference@abdn.ac.uk.
