The British Analytic Theology Symposium (BATS) 2026 \;organising committee invites abstract submissions for its inaugural symposium. There is \;no specific theme \;and submissions are welcome from all religious traditions.

Prof. Brian Leftow (Rutgers University)

Prof. William Wood (University of Oxford)

Format:

Each paper will be allotted \;40 minutes \;in total&mdash\;20 minutes for presentation \;(approximately 2\,500 words maximum) followed by \;20 minutes for discussion.

Submission Guidelines:

Please submit an \;abstract of up to 400 words \;outlining the main argument and contribution of your paper.
Include a separate cover page with your \;name\, institutional affiliation (as well as role at the institution)\, paper title\, and contact details.

Submissions should be sent as a single PDF file to david.worsley@york.ac.uk.

Deadline for submission: \;31st December 2025
