DESCRIPTION:<p><strong>OPEN CALL FOR PITCHES AND QUESTIONS<br>Issue #1: The Job Market</strong>&nbsp\;/ Edited by <a href="https://dingherself.com">Ding</a> &amp\; <a href="http://wstarr.org">Willow Starr</a></p>\n<p>We are making a follow-up issue of <em>Being Trans in Philosophy</em> and (jumpscare) NOW INVITE pitches and questions for <strong>Being Trans on the Job Market</strong>.</p>\n<p>We are open to <em>both</em><strong> questions</strong> for more experienced trans/feminist philosophers <em>and</em> <strong>pitches</strong> of up to 200 words for:</p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><strong>Reflections</strong></strong> on job market experiences (what&rsquo\;s working\, what&rsquo\;s messed up\, and everything in between)\;</li>\n<li><strong><strong>Opinion pieces</strong></strong> on what trans philosophers\, the field\, and our allies should be doing in this moment to make philosophy habitable for trans philosophers\;</li>\n<li><strong><strong>Analyses</strong></strong> of the job market and trans labor in academia\;</li>\n<li><strong><strong>Cartoons\, memes\, drawings\, and other visual arts</strong></strong> on the theme\;</li>\n<li><strong><strong>Poetry\, fiction\, humor\, and more creative work</strong></strong> engaging with the theme\;</li>\n<li><strong><strong>Tips and resources </strong></strong>for trans philosophers navigating the job market\;</li>\n<li><strong><strong>Announcements</strong></strong> of projects\, initiatives\, and so on\;</li>\n<li><strong><strong>News on what&rsquo\;s happened </strong></strong>that our community needs to know about\;</li>\n<li><strong><strong>Interviews/conversations </strong></strong>relevant to the theme\; and</li>\n<li><strong><strong>Surprise us!</strong></strong></li>\n</ul>\n<p>For pitches\, our aim is to include everything that&rsquo\;s on theme but we are limited by space and mission. As editors\, we understand our job to be <em><em>curating</em></em> not refereeing.</p>\n<p>Please have pitches/questions in by <strong><strong>December 20th\, 2025</strong></strong>. We may consider late submissions on a case-by-case basis but would appreciate a heads-up if possible.</p>
