DESCRIPTION:<p>We are pleased to announce the upcoming&nbsp\;Philosophy and Emotion&nbsp\;Conference&nbsp\;at Nottingham\, to be held&nbsp\;on the&nbsp\;17th of&nbsp\;April 2026.</p>\n<p>This event&nbsp\;seeks to&nbsp\;bring together philosophers&nbsp\;and scholars&nbsp\;who are interested in&nbsp\;exploring&nbsp\;the&nbsp\;significance&nbsp\;of emotion\, both&nbsp\;within philosophical enquiry and across a range of&nbsp\;other&nbsp\;disciplines.&nbsp\;We invite&nbsp\;submissions that&nbsp\;cover a range of topics under the broad umbrella of&nbsp\;philosophy&nbsp\;of&nbsp\;emotion.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Topics may include\, but are not limited to:&nbsp\;</p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>philosophical theories of emotion&nbsp\;&nbsp\;</p>\n</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>emotion and ethics&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;</p>\n</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>emotion and epistemology&nbsp\;&nbsp\;</p>\n</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>roles for emotion&nbsp\;in&nbsp\;social and political theories&nbsp\;</p>\n</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>emotion in psychology and mental health research</p>\n</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Submission Guidelines&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Abstracts of&nbsp\;250&nbsp\;should be&nbsp\;submitted&nbsp\;by&nbsp\;15 January 2026\, and notifications of acceptance will be sent by&nbsp\;28th&nbsp\;February&nbsp\;2026. Abstracts will be&nbsp\;refereed&nbsp\;by the organizing committee. We&nbsp\;encourage&nbsp\;submissions from early-career researchers&nbsp\;and graduate students.</p>\n<p>Contributing&nbsp\;speakers will have&nbsp\;slots of 60&nbsp\;minutes to divide\,&nbsp\;roughly equally\,&nbsp\;between presentation and discussion.
