➡︎ The aim of the conference is to discuss Hegel&rsquo\;s critical legacy in order to highlight the continuing relevance of his thought for diagnosing and addressing the challenges and dilemmas of our complex contemporary context. Proposals (long abstracts) should be no longer than \;1\,500 words. A brief curriculum vitae should be attached to the abstract. Submissions should be sent in \;MS Word or PDF format \;to \;Edgar Maraguat(edgar.maraguat at uv.es). \;Early-career researchers\, including doctoral candidates and postdoctoral scholars\, are especially encouraged to submit proposals.
\n➡︎ Possible topics for contributions include\, but are not limited to: interpretations of Hegel&rsquo\;s critical legacy and its internal tensions\; the relation between dialectic and critique in Hegel&rsquo\;s logic and system\; Hegel and the problem of Modernity and its self-critique\; Hegel&rsquo\;s influence on Marxism and Critical Theory&mdash\;especially Adorno&rsquo\;s negative dialectics and Žižek&rsquo\;s dialectical materialism\; engagements with feminist theory\, postcolonial thought\, ecology\, and contemporary materialisms from Hegelian perspectives\; and contemporary reassessments of Hegel&rsquo\;s relevance for understanding political conflict\, crisis\, and social transformation today.
\n➡︎ The deadline for the submission of proposals is \;March 15\, 2026. Applicants will be notified of acceptance by \;March 30\, 2026. Papers may be presented in \;Spanish\, English\, or German.
