This helps us understand art\, and also\, why neural approaches to art have been so unsuccessful. In the course of the paper I'll extend ideas on the relation of action and perception first presented in my Action In Perception.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
Upcoming events:
\n
&nbsp\;
\n
Spring 2014 Speaker series: Aesthetics as Philosophy of Perception:
\n
&nbsp\;
\n
May 22: Jenefer Robinson (University of Cincinnati)
\n
&nbsp\;
\n
Upcoming workshops and conferences:
\n
&nbsp\;
\n
May 12-13: Conference on the representationalism vs. relationalism debate
\n
June 10-11: Conference on nonpropositional and imagistic content
\n
June 25-26: Symposium with Philip Kitcher
\n\n\n\n
More info:
