DESCRIPTION:
Call for Papers: Hermeneutical Reviews (2027 Issue)
\n
&nbsp\;
\n
【Our Mission】&nbsp\;
\n
Hermeneutics is not merely a cognitive tool\, but a mode of being. Hermeneutical Reviews&nbsp\;is an annual academic publication dedicated to profound intellectual dialogue. We advocate for a return to the depths of the history of philosophy\, seeking the occurrence of truth within the recursion of texts.
\n
Our journal moves beyond pure technical analysis or abstract logical deduction. We favor "historically effected" (wirkungsgeschichtlich) commentary. We seek contributions that pierce through the clamor of contemporary academia to enter the genealogy of thought\, engaging in a tense and fruitful "fusion of horizons" with the classics.
\n\n
【Sections】
\n
1. Articles&nbsp\;This section features thematic research situated within the history of philosophy. We particularly welcome:
\n
&middot\;Critical re-readings of classic hermeneutical texts.
\n
&middot\;Conceptual analysis and genealogical tracing within the history of ideas.
\n
&middot\;Philosophical-historical commentaries with a macro-vision\, rather than arguments confined to fragmented micro-problems.
\n\n
2. Review Essays&nbsp\;As the soul of our journal\, this section does not publish brief book summaries. We are committed to fostering the "Long-form Review Essay."
\n
&middot\;We invite authors to use a significant work published within the last three years as a catalyst to discuss the academic history\, current status\, and core debates of the relevant field.
\n
&middot\;Reviews should demonstrate a holistic grasp of the author&rsquo\;s thought and engage in a vigorous "dialogue" based on genuine "understanding."
\n
&nbsp\;
\n
【Submission Guidelines】
\n
Publication Plan: As an annual journal\, we are now accepting submissions for the 2027 volume.
\n
Deadline: December 31\, 2026.
\n
Languages: Submissions in Chinese\, German\, or English&nbsp\;are all welcome.
\n
Length: Articles are suggested to be between 8\,000&ndash\;15\,000 characters for Chinese (or 4\,000&ndash\;8\,000 words for English/German)\; Review Essays should ideally be between 5\,000&ndash\;8\,000 characters for Chinese (or 3\,000&ndash\;4\,000 words for English/German).
\n
Style: We encourage a clear\, elegant\, and thought-provoking writing style that maintains rigorous logic and standardized citation.
\n\n
【Contact】&nbsp\;Please send your manuscripts to: Hermeneutical_Reviews@hotmail.com
\n
We look forward to encountering every writer who keeps watch over thought through the movement of words.&nbsp\;
