On Tuesday\, 19 May\, at the University of Stirling\, Campus Central\, 3.04 \;

In the past decade\, commemorations (including statues and monuments) that have substantial ties to colonialism\, slavery\, and other forms of injustice have been targeted by activists. In response\, the English Government has published the &lsquo\;Retain and explain&rsquo\; guidance to protect &ldquo\;historic statues.&rdquo\;

This interdisciplinary workshop seeks to reflect upon the moral and political implications of the policy and guidance by bringing scholars from art\, law\, philosophy\, memory studies\, and urban design into dialogue. \;

On Google Maps\, this building is also called &ldquo\;University of Stirling Library&rdquo\; and &ldquo\;Andrew Miller Building.&rdquo\; It shares a building with &ldquo\;Macrobert Arts Centre.&rdquo\; In the middle of the building\, there&rsquo\;s a triangle-ish staircase. It is on the 3rd floor. The elevator is very close to the staircase.
