DESCRIPTION:<p>The 19th Dr. C. Michael Gelven NIU Graduate Philosophy Conference (formerly the Northern Graduate Philosophy Conference) will be held&nbsp\;November 6-7\, 2026\, on the campus of Northern Illinois University. Professor Karen Bennett (Rutgers University) will deliver a keynote address to open the conference on Friday\, Nov. 6.</p>\n<p>We invite graduate students to submit papers of approximately 3\,000 words on any topic in mainstream analytic philosophy (suitable for 30-minute presentations\; there will be a commentator and a Q&amp\;A session after the presentation). Submissions accessible to a general philosophical audience will be favored. Only one submission per person will be considered. We ask all papers to be delivered in person. We are able to offer each speaker a $200 stipend to mitigate the costs of travel.</p>\n<p><strong>Submission Guidelines</strong></p>\n<p>Please send the following as&nbsp\;<strong>two separate attachments&nbsp\;in PDF format</strong> to&nbsp\;niugsac@gmail.com. The attachments are:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>A cover page\, titled&nbsp\;[Last][First]_CP\, containing the following information:\n<ul>\n<li>Author&rsquo\;s name</li>\n<li>Institutional affiliation</li>\n<li>Contact information (email\, phone number)</li>\n<li>Title of paper</li>\n<li>Topic area of paper</li>\n<li>Word count</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li>Your paper\, with an abstract of fewer than 150 words and apt for blind review.
