DESCRIPTION:
What does it mean to judge - politically\, morally\, in public life? Hannah Arendt left that question unfinished. This symposium examines Samantha Fazekas' new work\, Hannah Arendt's Unwritten Chapter on Judging&nbsp\;(De Gruyter\, 2025)\, which reconstructs Arendt's unwritten theory of judgment through a close reading of Kant's aesthetic judgment\, and asks what it means for how we think about politics today.
\n
With responses from scholars at Trinity College Dublin\, Paderborn University\, the University of Freiburg\, Bard College\, and the University of Toronto.
\n
Admission is free.
