DESCRIPTION:<p>We invite submissions of abstracts of papers on any aspect of Locke&rsquo\;s philosophy\, on the reception of Locke by his contemporaries or on Lockean and Neo-Lockean themes in present-day philosophy. Topics could include\, but will not be restricted to the relevance of Locke&rsquo\;s moral philosophy within his&nbsp\;<em>Essay</em>\, the religious context of Locke&rsquo\;s philosophy\, Locke&rsquo\;s conception of agency and its role in his account of personal identity\, Locke&rsquo\;s conception of essence and identity\, the relation between Locke&rsquo\;s metaphysics and his epistemological modesty\, and Leibniz&rsquo\;s reactions to Locke in the&nbsp\;<em>New Essays</em>.<u></u><u></u></p>\n<p><u></u><strong>Abstracts of approximately 500 words or less should be prepared for blind review and sent to&nbsp\;<a target="_blank">rb294@st-andrews.ac.uk</a>&nbsp\;by 1 March 2012.&nbsp\;</strong>We intend to announce decisions within a month.</p>\n<p><u></u></p>\n<p><u></u>Presentations should be no longer than 40-45 minutes and will be followed by discussion.
