DESCRIPTION:<p><strong>Geometry and Physics</strong>&nbsp\;<br> <strong>XVII International Summer School in Philosophy of Physics</strong> &nbsp\;</p>\n<p>15-19 September 2014 https://sites.google.com/site/centroricerchecirfis/home <strong><br></strong> <strong></strong></p>\n<p><strong>Call for Participation (Extended Deadline)</strong> &nbsp\;</p>\n<p>We invite participation for the XVII International Summer School in Philosophy of Physics to be held in Cesena 15th-19th&nbsp\;September 2014. The topic of the school is &ldquo\;Geometry and Physics&rdquo\; and will feature morning lectures (in English) given by Prof D. Dieks (Utrecht University) and Prof F. Muller\, (Erasmus University Rotterdam\, Utrecht University)&nbsp\;and afternoon seminars (in Italian) given by C. Pedretti (University of California)\, F. Laudisa (University of Milano-Bicocca)\, N. Zangh&igrave\; (University of Genoa)\, V. Fano&nbsp\; (University of Urbino) - see the attached tentative program for details- Attendance to the school is free of charge. It will host a limited number of students\, graduate students and early researchers depending on a successful application.</p>\n<p>Application should include: <br> 1)&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;A CV 2)&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;A cover letter</p>\n<p>And should be sent to:&nbsp\;cirfis.scuolaestiva@gmail.com <br> No later than&nbsp\;3rd&nbsp\;of August. XVII summer school in philosophy of physics&rdquo\;</p>\n<p>Notification of acceptance is expected no later than 19th&nbsp\;of August</p>\n<p><strong><br></strong> <strong>Call for Papers (Extended Deadline)</strong> <br> The XVII Summer School in Philosophy of Physics will dedicate its last session (September\, 19th) to the presentation of original papers in philosophy of physics. We invite Grad students\, Post-Graduate students and early researchers alike to submit an abstract (no longer than 1000 words) suitable for blind review to: &nbsp\;</p>\n<p>cirfis.scuolaestiva@gmail.com &nbsp\;</p>\n<p>No later than&nbsp\;10th&nbsp\;August. The subject line should read: Submission XVII Summer School in philosophy of physics&rdquo\;. &nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Papers should be sent as a pdf file together with a title page containing info about the author(s).
