DESCRIPTION:<p>Dear Colleagues\,&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>We are delighted to invite you to submit a paper or other proposal to the North American Association for Philosophy and Education (NAAPE) Annual Conference\, which will take place from <strong>Friday\, October 16th to Sunday\, October 18th\, 2025</strong>. NAAPE 2025 will be held at the beautiful University of St. Mary of the Lake\, just outside of Chicago. Submissions are due by <strong>July 1st\, 2026 at 11:59PM CT (UTC -5)</strong>.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>As in previous years\, NAAPE accepts any length of paper\, but we prefer papers that are less than 14\,000 words. The papers may employ any well-established style guideline so long as it is used consistently throughout the paper. Additionally\, papers may be formatted in a standard article manner or as a book chapter. NAAPE accepts submissions in English\, Spanish\, or French\, but presentations are expected to be given in English. NAAPE is pleased to accept submissions that are simultaneously under review or in press at academic journals\, but we cannot accept papers that have been published prior to submission. In addition to full papers\, NAAPE also accepts panel proposals and author-meets-critics proposals. In addition to faculty in philosophy and education\, NAAPE invites practicing and retired teachers\, graduate students\, administrators\, policymakers\, and independent scholars to attend the conference.
