DESCRIPTION:<p><strong>CFP: Oppression in the Contemporary World</strong></p>\n<p>The Society for Philosophy in the Contemporary World invites submissions for an affiliated-group session at the 2027 APA Eastern Division Meeting in Boston\, Massachusetts.</p>\n<p>This session seeks philosophical work examining oppression in contemporary social\, political\, economic\, and cultural contexts. We welcome diverse conceptions and analyses of oppression\, including work exploring its causes\, manifestations\, and significance in contemporary life.</p>\n<p>Possible topics include\, but are not limited to: racial injustice\, gender oppression\, disability and ableism\, economic exploitation\, migration and borders\, colonialism\, environmental injustice\, technology and surveillance\, democratic exclusion\, resistance\, solidarity\, and liberation.</p>\n<p>Please submit an anonymized abstract of no more than 300 words in PDF or Word format by <strong>July 17\, 2026&nbsp\;</strong>to Dr. Raman Sachdev at rsachdev@cau.edu.</p>\n<p>All participants in affiliated-group sessions at the APA Eastern Division Meeting are required to register for the conference.</p>
