DESCRIPTION:<p>The Graduate Philosophical Association (GPA) of the University of Oklahoma invites prospective applicants to graduate programs in Philosophy to submit their writing samples for our annual Writing Sample Workshop (November 7th\, 2026). Students whose papers are accepted will have the opportunity to workshop their papers and receive constructive feedback from OU graduate students in an intensive one-day session. Participants will also have the opportunity to brainstorm their cover letters and statement of purpose\, with guidance from members of the Admissions Committee.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>We invite papers on any topic (Max 6000 words\, including footnotes and bibliography). Preference will be given to undergraduate students applying to the University of Oklahoma's philosophy graduate program\, although we welcome Masters students\, too. Please also include a short statement of intent (1-2 paragraphs).&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Accommodation for Friday and Saturday night\, as well as meals on Saturday\, will be provided. Unfortunately\, we are not able to provide support for travel.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Please send your paper and letter of intent in an email to melle.van.duijn-1@ou.edu with the subject line: GPA Undergraduate Conference 2026.
