DESCRIPTION:CALL FOR PAPERS\nJournal of Law\, Society\, and Authority (JLSA)\n<p><strong>Special Issue &mdash\; February 2027</strong></p>\nThe Normalisation of the Populist Radical Right in Europe:\n<p><strong>Political\, Legal and Institutional Transformations</strong></p>\n<p>The <strong>Journal of Law\, Society\, and Authority (JLSA)</strong> invites original research contributions for a peer-reviewed special issue examining the rise and increasing normalisation of the <strong>populist radical right in Europe</strong> and its implications for European political systems\, democratic institutions\, law\, fundamental rights\, and the future of European integration.</p>\n<p>The special issue moves beyond analyses focused exclusively on electoral performance or immigration politics. It explores the broader transformation of <strong>political competition\, democratic institutions\, constitutional orders\, public policy\, fundamental rights\, and European integration</strong> associated with the growing visibility and institutionalisation of the populist radical right.</p>\nAreas of Interest\n<p>Contributions may address\, but are not limited to:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Political transformation\, electoral politics\, party competition\, and the mainstreaming of the populist radical right</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>European integration\, Euroscepticism\, EU institutions\, sovereignty\, and the future of European integration</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Democracy\, constitutionalism\, the rule of law\, judicial independence\, separation of powers\, and democratic resilience</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Migration\, asylum\, citizenship\, national identity\, minority rights\, gender and family politics</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Digital platforms\, political communication\, mobilisation\, and political discourse</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>European foreign and security policy and EU external action</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Comparative and cross-national perspectives on the populist radical right in Europe</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Transnational and interdisciplinary approaches to contemporary European political\, legal\, and institutional transformations</p>\n</li>\n</ul>\n<p>The special issue welcomes <strong>theoretical\, empirical\, comparative\, doctrinal\, socio-legal\, and interdisciplinary contributions</strong> from political science\, European studies\, law\, international relations\, sociology\, security studies\, public policy\, and related fields in the social sciences and humanities.</p>\n<p>Both <strong>European and non-European scholars</strong> are encouraged to contribute\, particularly where submissions offer comparative\, transnational\, or theoretically relevant perspectives.</p>\nSubmission Information\n<p><strong>Languages:</strong> English and French<br><strong>Submission deadline:</strong> <strong>30 November 2026</strong><br><strong>Expected publication:</strong> <strong>February 2027</strong></p>\n<p>Submissions must be original\, unpublished\, and not under consideration elsewhere.
