DESCRIPTION:<p>The conference aims to bring together scholars working at the intersection of philosophy of mind\, value theory\, and the history of philosophy. We will feature a keynote address by Dr. Jos&eacute\; Luis Berm&uacute\;dez.</p>\n<p>The central question of the conference is broad: what\, if anything\, makes experience valuable?</p>\n<p>We intend to encourage dialogue between scholars who might not ordinarily attend the same event: ancient and historical philosophers interested in psychology\, ethics\, and value\; philosophers of mind working on consciousness\, affect\, and perception\; ethicists and value theorists concerned with welfare\, moral status\, and the good life\; as well as (but not limited to) epistemologists and philosophers of action interested in memory\, rational choice\, and transformative experience.</p>\n<p>For questions\, please contact Ori Respler (orespler@ttu.edu).</p>\n&nbsp\;
