DESCRIPTION:<p><strong>CALL FOR PAPERS</strong></p>\n\n<p><strong>&lsquo\;Green Religions\, Divine Immanence\, and Ecospirituality&rsquo\;</strong></p>\n\n<p>Our world is witnessing a rapid instrumentalization of nature and the natural world&mdash\;every day we reckon with climate change\, forest fires\, rising sea levels\, and other such calamities. Given this state of affairs\, how can we as theologians and scholars of religion reckon with this predicament?</p>\n\n<p>The editorial board of the Journal of the Oxford Graduate Theology Society invites UK-based and international graduate students to submit papers of 2\,500 words (exclusive of bibliography and notes) which engage with the influence of environmental ethics on religiosity and spirituality\, the ways concepts akin to nature spirits\, divine immanence\, or pantheism can mediate (a)theological thought about sacrality and the material world\, or analyses of ecological systems with a religiously-informed emic or etic lens. We especially encourage scholars trained in allied fields to theology such as anthropology\, sociology\, history\, literature\, philosophy\, religious studies\, etc.\, to consider submitting.&nbsp\;</p>\n\n<p>In addition to publishing papers pertinent to the issue&rsquo\;s theme\, the editorial board is open to all submissions which fall under the general scope of the Journal.</p>\n\n<p>The editorial board is dedicated to making the submission process accessible. If you have any questions or needs regarding accessibility and the Journal\, please email us at any time.</p>\n<p><strong>CALL FOR BOOK REVIEWS</strong></p>\n\n<p>Book reviews for JOGTS should be between 600 and 1\,000 words long. JOGTS publishes only those reviews that are relevant to each issue&rsquo\;s theme\, so all reviews submitted for this issue must demonstrate how the book they discuss pertains to &lsquo\;Green Religions\, Divine Immanence\, and Ecospirituality.&rsquo\; Reviews should survey the structure\, substance\, and methodology of the book they discuss and evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of each of these elements: reviews must analyse\, not merely summarise. At the end of the review\, please provide: (1) your name\, (2) your programme of study\, qualification\, or position\, and (3) your institutional affiliation\, including\, if applicable\, your college.</p>\n<p><strong>Theme Adherence</strong></p>\n\n<p>The editorial board will consider all submissions that fall under the general scope of the Journal\, including those which do not respond to the issue theme. Book reviews must demonstrate pertinence to the issue theme.</p>\n\n<p><strong>Length Requirements</strong></p>\n\n<p>Paper submissions should not exceed 2\,500 words\, exclusive of bibliography and notes.
