DESCRIPTION:<p>Extended Deadline for submission (of abstracts and papers):&nbsp\;30th November 2014</p>\n<p>It is my great pleasure to announce that &lsquo\;third International Conference on&nbsp\;<a name="14855511f2d94e53_OLE_LINK4"></a>Contemporary&nbsp\;Philosophy of Religion&rsquo\; will be held in Tehran\, Iran at&nbsp\;January 7-8\, 2015.&nbsp\;The Conference is organized by Iranian Association for Philosophy of Religion (IAPR:&nbsp\;http://philor.org)\, in cooperation with Tarbiat Modares University (www.modares.ac.ir/en).</p>\n<p>Iranian Association for Philosophy of Religion (IAPR) has decided to organize this conference to establish the unique ground for dialogue and mutual understanding&nbsp\;among the very influential community of Philosophy of Religion from both West and East\, with the hope to make a bridge from the abstraction to action\, soIAPR is greatly honored to invite you to participate in this important event. For more details\, please visit the conference website:&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>&nbsp\;http://www.philorconf.org/:</p>\n<p>If there is any concern or comment please do not hesitate to contact us: Javad Taheri&nbsp\;<a target="_blank">philorconf@gmail.com</a></p>\n<p><strong>Call for Papers</strong><strong></strong></p>\n<p><strong>Subject matter</strong>: Contemporary issues in philosophy of religion: religion\, ethics and culture</p>\n<p><strong>Conference Themes</strong></p>\n<p>The two-day conference will explore the following issues:</p>\n<p>1- Conceptual and theoretical relationship between religion and ethics</p>\n<p>2- Religious and secular ethics</p>\n<p>3- Contemporary challenges to religious ethics</p>\n<p>4- Religious commitment and moral tolerance</p>\n<p>5- Religion and culture</p>\n<p>6- Culture and different forms of religiosity</p>\n<p>7- The role of religion\, ethics and culture in meaningfulness of life</p>\n<p>8- Global Ethics\, the Abrahamic religions and local cultures</p>\n<p>9- Religious\, moral and cultural education</p>\n<p><strong><em>Submissions</em></strong></p>\n<p>Proposals of papers should consist of a title\, a 150-250 word abstract\, and the author's name and full contact information.</p>\n<p><strong><em>Deadline</em></strong>: 15th November 2014. Early submissions are especially welcome.
