DESCRIPTION:<p><strong>15th Principia International Symposium</strong></p>\n<p>Theme: The metaphysics of science</p>\n<p>July 19 to 22\, 2027\, Florian&oacute\;polis\, Brazil</p>\n<p>Deadline for submissions: February 20\, 2027</p>\n<p><strong><br></strong></p>\n<p><strong>CALL FOR ABSTRACTS</strong></p>\n<p>The 15th Principia International Symposium: Metaphysics of Science invites submissions of abstracts.&nbsp\; Non-exhaustive suggested themes include:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>The relationship between metaphysics and science</li>\n<li>Naturalistic metaphysics</li>\n<li>Metametaphysics and the metaphysics of science</li>\n<li>The metaphysics of particular scientific theories</li>\n<li>Modality in science</li>\n<li>Natural kinds</li>\n<li>Social ontology</li>\n<li>Scientific laws and laws of nature</li>\n<li>Realism and antirealism in science and in mathematics</li>\n<li>Logical and metaphysical approaches to scientific indeterminacy</li>\n</ul>\n<p>As usual\, in addition to the main theme\, the Symposium welcomes submissions for contributed talks in theory of knowledge\, logic\, philosophy of language\, philosophy of mind\, and philosophy of science (broadly understood).</p>\n<p>Submissions for contributed talks (20 min presentation + 10 min Q&amp\;A) should be prepared according to the guidelines below.</p>\n<p>Notification of acceptance or rejection is expected by March 5\, 2027.</p>\n<p><strong><br></strong></p>\n<p><strong>SUBMISSION GUIDELINES</strong></p>\n<p>Please consult our website: https://principia.ufsc.br/cfa/.</p>
