DESCRIPTION:<p><strong>2012 Texas Tech University\nPhilosophy Graduate Student Conference on The History of Philosophy&mdash\;Call For\nPapers</strong></p>\n<p>Texas\nTech University&rsquo\;s Philosophy Graduate Student Association (PGSA) is now accepting\npapers for their 6th Annual Graduate Student Conference to be held\nApril 28\, 2012 in Lubbock\, Texas.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>The Keynote\nSpeaker will be Professor Remy Debes (University of Memphis).&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>This\nyear&rsquo\;s conference topic is the History of Philosophy.&nbsp\; Any papers of a historical nature will be\nconsidered for acceptance\, including an in depth study of a particular figure\,\nhistorical analysis of a particular topic or problem\, or examination of trends\nin the history of philosophy broadly construed.&nbsp\; Papers on topics relating to Modern (17th/18th Century) Philosophy are especially encouraged.</p>\n<p>Papers\nshould be prepared for blind review and submitted via e-mail to m.mckearn@ttu.edu\nwith a separately attached document including (1) name of submitter\, (2)\ncontact information\, (3) paper title\, (4) institutional affiliation\, and (5) a\n150 word abstract.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Papers\nshould be no more than 3500 words and should be prepared for a 30 minute\npresentation\, to be followed by a formal comment and question/ answer period.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Deadline\nfor submission is February 28th\, 2012.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>If you\nhave any questions\, contact Mike Mckearn at <a href="mailto:m.mckearn@ttu.edu">m.mckearn@ttu.edu</a>.</p>\n
