PROGRAM

The conference will deal with the logical\, epistemological\, and cognitive aspects of modeling practices employed in science\, technology\, and cognitive science\, including logical and \; computational models of such practices. SUBMISSIONS OF PAPERS AND SYMPOSIA PROPOSALS

All submitted extended abstracts will be carefully refereed. The precise format of the conference will be fixed after we have an idea of the number of accepted papers. We expect approximately 60/80 contributed presentations some of 40 and others of 20 minutes.
There will be several invited presentations of 1 hour. A selected subset of accepted papers will be invited for inclusion (subject to additional refereeing) in a book\, which will constitute an advanced handbook for researchers in this area. The book will be published will be published by Springer
(Series "SAPERE" http://www.springer.com/series/10087). Moreover another selected subset of papers will be invited for inclusion (subject to additional refereeing)
in special issues of suitable international journals like for example
Logic Journal of the IGPS and Foundations of Science\, which already hosted articles presented at MBR98\, MBR01\, MBR04\, MBR04\, MBR06_CHINA\, MBR09_BRAZIL\, MBR015_ITALY.

To participate to the conference authors must submit an electronic version - formatted in Microsoft Word or .RTF\, or .PDF (in this last case please include source - .DOC\, .TEX or other file) - of an extended abstract (total word count approximately 1000-1200). The file must also contain a 300 WORDS abstract that will be used for the conference web site/booklet.

HOW TO REACH Sestri Levante

Considering EXPO Milan 2015 we suggest to book the flight reservation as soon as possible

PEOPLE ARRIVING FROM MILAN

From LINATE Airport (MILAN): http://www.milanolinate-airport.com/en
People arriving by plane at LINATE should take the bus to the CENTRAL STATION of Milan.

From MALPENSA TERMINAL and MALPENSA TERMINAL (MILAN): http://www.milanomalpensa-airport.com/en
(usually international flights arrive to Malpensa Terminal 1 and not to MALPENSA Terminal 2\, which is mainly used by low-cost
carriers such as EasyJet): People arriving by plane ay MALPENSA TERMINAL 1 or at MALPENSA TERMINAL 2 have the following options for reaching Milan Central Station:
- Bus (Malpensa Shuttle) to Milan Central Station
- Train to Milan Central Station
- Train to Milan Cadorna Station and then Underground to Central Station.
While the Bus leaves from both Terminals 1 and 2\, Malpensa Train Station is located in Terminal 1 (there is a free shuttle connecting the two terminals)
From Milan Central Station several trains leave daily for Sestri Levante (mainly on the MILAN-LA SPEZIA or MILAN-SESTRI LEVANTE routes): for times and fares refer to Trenitalia&rsquo\;s English webpage (click on "PASSES") http://www.trenitalia.com/cms/v/index.jsp?vgnextoid=4ddd1a035296f310VgnVCM1000005817f90aRCRD.
The train journey from Milano to Sestri Levante takes from 2 to 3 hours (depending on whether the train is an Intercity\, Regional etc).


PEOPLE ARRIVING FROM GENOA

For people landing in GENOA\, the best option is to take the VOLABUS bus service from the CRISTOFORO COLOMBO airport to BRIGNOLE train station.

Once in GENOA\, there are frequent trains (also local) from GENOA (Porta Principe or Stazione Brignole train station\, mostly from the latter) to SESTRI LEVANTE
and vice versa www.trenitalia.it.

Sestri Levante is about 35 minutes from
Genoa Railway Station.

In Sestri Levante there is only one rail station. The town is relatively small.
The easiest way to reach the center of the town and its two bays
is to get off at the station and then walk towards the beaches.
