DESCRIPTION:<p>The 2015 meeting of the Soci&eacute\;t&eacute\; de Philosophie Analytique (SoPhA) is in<br>Montr&eacute\;al\,&nbsp\;june 17-20\, 2015.<br><br>Keynote Speakers:<br><br>- Fr&eacute\;d&eacute\;ric Bouchard (Universit&eacute\; de Montr&eacute\;al) &ndash\; Philosophy of Biology<br>- Juliet Floyd (Boston University) &ndash\; History of Philosophy<br>- Pierre Jacob (Institut Jean-Nicod) &ndash\; Philosophy of Mind<br>- Max Kistler (Paris 1) &ndash\; Philosophy of Science</p>\n<p>You may submit an individual paper or roundtable proposal in the following<br>areas:<br><br>- Epistemology<br>- Philosophy of language<br>- Philosophy of mind<br>- Metaphysics<br>- Philosophy of natural science<br>- Philosophy of social science<br>- Philosophy of mathematics and logic<br>- Political philosophy<br>- Philosophy of law<br>- Moral philosophy<br>- Ethics and meta-ethics<br>- Aesthetics<br>- Philosophy of religion<br>- History of philosophy<br><br>*Language requirements: We accept presentations in French or English.<br>Participants must have a basic competence in French.<br><br>Three steps for submitting your proposal:<br><br>1) Create your SoPhA account here:<br>https://sopha.univ-paris1.fr/compte/mon_compte.php?mode=insertion<br>2) Submit your presentation proposal here:<br>https://sopha.univ-paris1.fr/sopha/presentation.php?fichier=inscription_congresmtl<br>3) Pay your SoPhA membership (on condition of acceptance).<br>*Details concerning payment methods and deadlines are forthcoming.<br><br><br>Individual proposals:<br><br>1) Summaries may not exceed 6000 characters (around 800 words)\, including<br>notes and spaces. Limit bibliographical references to no more than five.<br><br>2) Individual presentations will be 30 minutes long with a 10-minute<br>question period.<br><br>Roundtable proposals:<br><br>1) Roundtable summaries may not exceed 6000 characters (around 800 words)\,<br>including notes and spaces. It must describe 1) the general ideas of the<br>presentation (2000 characters)\, and 2) the title and summary of all<br>contributions\, with the names and the affiliations of all contributors&nbsp\;(1000<br>characters per contribution).<br><br>2) Roundtable discussions will be 2 hours long. We suggest that you plan a<br>discussion period.
