In order to make room for new ideas\, we often have to rise against the old ones. Every new generation of philosophers has to find its own way among the established perspectives of the field. Although a rebellious attitude may lead to refreshing new ways of addressing age-old philosophical topics\, it holds the risk of discarding old ideas that are still valuable. For the OZSW Graduate Conference in Theoretical Philosophy we are interested in the question how young researchers relate to this. How is your research new? Do you seek new approaches to old topics\, or do you use classic ideas to tackle new problems? To what extent do you break with the tradition and start anew?
