The \;Spinoza-Leibniz Workshop \;at Michigan State University \;will run from Friday\, April 29\, to Sunday\, May 1\, 2016\, \;in East Lansing\, Michigan. The workshop aims to bring together up to seven authors whose papers-in-progress will be shared in advance among participants to stimulate productive discussion and feedback. This year\, the Workshop will also feature three invited speakers:
\nMichael Della Rocca (Yale)
\nEmily Grosholz (Penn State)
\nMartha Brandt Bolton (Rutgers)
\nWe are currently seeking participants to present papers on the philosophy of either Spinoza or Leibniz (or both). Consult the Workshop page for a description of this year's theme: \;http://www.philosophy.msu.edu/spinoza-leibniz-workshop
\nIf you are interested in participating as a speaker\, please submit an abstract of 500-800 words\, prepared for double-blind review\, as MSWord attachments to \;Debra Nails (nails@msu.edu) by \;November 9\, 2015. The author&rsquo\;s name\, paper title\, affiliation\, and contact information should be included in the body of the email. Notification of acceptance will be sent out by \;the end of November.
\nAccepted presenters will have their lodging paid for by Michigan State University. A contribution toward travel expenses may also be available to accepted presenters who do not have permanent academic affiliations.
