Oxford Brookes Philosophy hosts the regional branch of the Royal Institute of Philosophy. For the last three years we have been organising events under the &lsquo\;Why Philosophy Matters&rsquo\; theme. For the new academic year we have decided to reinvigorate our events and are changing the title of our public lecture series to &lsquo\;Oxford Brookes Royal Institute of Philosophy Public Lectures&rsquo\;. We will be organising a series of engaging talks given by some of Britain&rsquo\;s most prominent philosophers. We will also be moving to a larger and more comfortable venue.

We are really pleased to announce that our first event on Wednesday 30th September 2015 at 6.00 p.m. will be a talk by Professor Tim Crane entitled &lsquo\;What is Psychological Reality?&rsquo\; Tim is Knightbridge Professor of Philosophy at Cambridge University and is one of Britain&rsquo\;s leading philosophers of mind.
